The Early Childhood Facilities Construction and Renovation Grant Program is administered by LISC Connecticut in partnership with the Connecticut Office of Early Childhood (OEC). The program provides funding for eligible large-scale childcare facility construction and renovation projects that increase infant, toddler, and preschool capacity across Connecticut.
Eligible applicants include organizations with center-based childcare facility projects located in Connecticut that meet the program’s eligibility requirements. Applicants must be in good standing with the Connecticut Office of Early Childhood and the State of Connecticut and demonstrate that their project is ready to move forward.
The program provides a total of $5.25 million in funding. Individual grant awards are expected to range from $250,000 to $1,000,000, with funding anticipated for approximately 8 to 10 projects.
Funding is intended for large-scale construction and renovation projects that expand access to infant, toddler, and preschool childcare spaces. Projects should help address childcare needs, particularly in underserved communities and childcare deserts.
